Zoo Day

I know - what am I doing at the zoo? I should be packing. Well today my dad wanted to take the girls to the zoo before he goes back to work. It was a lot of fun. We fed the giraffes. Well I did b/c as you can see in the pic. KK was freaked out. It was very hot so after that we went and stood in the misters which felt really good. We ate lunch and then fed the birds, saw the new Rocky Mountain wildlife exhibit, walked a lot more, rode the carousel, saw the hippos and monkeys and headed home. Busy day but a lot of fun.

Thank you Nonnie

Then and now

WOW! Where has the time gone? It seems like my little baby Jillian was just born but yesterday she was offically 3 whole months. She is getting so big and can do so much. She is one strong, determined little girl. She talks so much and loves attention. She is so happy and loves to smile. She is a wonderful baby who is already sleeping 8 hrs and I am so thankful for that. She weighs 11 1/2 lbs right now and seems to get bigger each day. Really, when we wake up every morning she always looks bigger to me. When I was looking at her tonight I was thinking how wonderful God is. I pray everyday that my family will go to Heaven and that our little ones will always follow the path that will lead them there.

Nick's Surprise Party - the BIG 30

We really surprised Nick for his 30th b-day. He had no idea. It was so much fun. We ate tons of Mexican food which is his favorite. Everything was so yummy. We had a big cupcake cake for dessert which was red and black. The kiddos were covered in black frosting and some of the adults. I felt bad but Nick said he loved it b/c it was pretty funny. We sat around and talked for a while and then the guys played what Nick called Jungle ball. They took the kids tunnels and used them as basketball hoops and used a big ball as the basketball. It was funny to watch. Nick then opened his gifts. His friends and family know him so well. Thank you all for everything!

4th of July Fun

We had such a fun 4th! The Taylor's had a big bbq/potluck at their house. The first thing we did was a big scavenger hunt which was sooooo much fun. All of the ladies put their name in one bowl and guys in the other. They then picked a name from each bowl and then those two people were partners. My partner was Brian and we really had good team work. We were the first finished with the first task but then slowly got behind. We ended up finishing in 5th place I think. Ok with me. Afterward there was a balloon toss which I did not participate in but KK said she had a lot of fun. All of the food was delicious! After eating Rob played his guitar and Hugh played his banjo. They sounded great together. Slowly some people left but a lot of us stayed and played frisbee. Well I didn't play but I watched as I chatted with friends. Nick played and won a game of 500. We then played scrud which is a fun pool table game & dance dance revolution. Then a few of the girls (including me) had a push up contest that I did not win and a arm wrestling contest which I did win... KK did good all night and had so much fun. My friend Emily who is expecting held Jillian most of the night. KK ended up falling asleep a little after 10 watching a Bugs Life. This will always be a 4th of July that I will remember.
