Special Olympics charity dodgeball tournament

On Sat. Nick competed in the chick-fil-a dodgeball tournament to benefit the Special Olympics. It was an all day event and he had a lot of fun. KK loved to watch him in action as you can see her in the pic. cheering him on.

Halloween

We had such a wonderful Halloween! We got to go trick-or-treating outside this year b/c it was so warm. We didn't even wear jackets. It was fun but I sure wish Halloween was what it use to be. Nick and I both say every year how when we were kids the streets would just be filled with people and every house would give out treats and every other house would be a haunted house or something exciting like that. KK doesn't know the difference though so she had a blast. After we went t-o-t we went to a great Halloween party. Friends Aimee and Derek threw it and the did such a great job! They had such great festivities for everyone. They had pin the face on the mummy for the kids and halloween twister. The adults all played roll the mummy, trick or treat which ended up being mostly tricks as you can see in the pic. of me wearing the beard. Some bobbed for apples. It was a BLAST! O', by the way, for those of you wondering what we were all dressed as - Gang green. Get it? We won the most original out of the costume contest. We then went home and crashed.

I don't think we're in Colorado anymore toto.

Meaning, it was actually hot the other day. It has been so beautiful this month that we have been trying to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Everytime I take KK to do something outside and she doesn't want to I tell her that we need to enjoy the warmth b/c it will be gone in a few days. Well this month I have eaten my words several times b/c the cold has yet to come. I am so excited for these wonderful warm days. I very much dislike the cold and snow so this is WONDERFUL! I may become a fan of this whole global warming idea. J/K

The Incline

Well, I have now made it to the top of the INCLINE twice. My goal was to make it up by next summer but I was determined. I loved it both times. If I could I think I would do it every weekend. The incline is a mile of old railroad ties which goes up the side of a mountain. The incline grade varies from a 41% to 68%. It is in total about 2,800 ties. In other words it is crazy! Very challenging but so worth every wanting to puke moment. Marci and I did it about 1 month ago and then Nick and I did it a couple of weeks ago. Don't worry, we dont take all of the steps back down. There is a beautiful 4 mile trail of switchbacks that takes you back down.
